When was Angels on Call Home Care founded?

Pamela Fitzpatrick (R.N.) opened the first office in Carmel, New York in 2005. She had a vision that living at home is the most wonderful thing in the world. She felt that home is where you belong because it’s where you’re most comfortable. Today, we are a growing company that provides hospice, nursing, rehabilitative, and assistive home health care to adults, children, and seniors in the comfort of their homes.

How does Angels on Call Homecare screen their caregivers?

Here at Angels on Call, our home health care employment standards have helped us become one of the most reliable providers of home health care services. Honesty, education, and training reign supreme. We have stringent testing and verification for every new employee. We have a comprehensive interview process which every applicant goes through. As part of our comprehensive interview process, we administer a criminal background check, DMV record verification, drug testing, professional reference check, proof of I-9 documentation, skills competency testing, and training verification.

What is the cost of a home health aide per hour?

How can I access the Relias Training Program?

Who takes care of the paperwork?

Angels on Call is fully responsible for the payroll, taxes, social security, contributions, workers’ compensation, and disability insurance of its employees.

What are the benefits of homecare?

Supplementing the care already at your disposal with a private nurse or companion from Angels on Call not only provides additional comfort for your loved one, but also for your family members. The family can be relieved of the stress of worrying about the patient for periods of time when they cannot be there. Your needs may be for short-term care, day or night, or for around-the-clock care. Whatever your needs, you’ll feel reassured having an Angel at the patient’s bedside throughout recovery.

How do I pay for services?

A deposit is required prior to the start of services. Fees will be discussed and agreed upon with a representative from Angels on Call. No payments should be made directly to your caregiver. Fees should be paid directly to Angels on Call. Accepted methods of payment include personal checks, ACH, and major credit cards.

Will health insurance or Medicare cover the cost of home health care?

The aforementioned providers may cover the cost of home health care if qualifying criteria is met. Angels on Call is here to assist you in determining which option is best for your individual case.

How do you make arrangements for homecare services?

Call the Angels on Call office to make arrangements for services. Calls should be made a minimum of 4 hours prior to when care is to begin (exceptions will be made whenever possible).

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations for services require 24 hour notice. If cancellations are not received before the 24 hour notice policy, a cancellation fee of $150.00 will be charged.

Do you accept Long Term Care Insurance?

Angels on Call Homecare accepts all Long Term Care (LTC) Insurance (i.e., John Hancock, MetLife, Genworth, CNA, etc.).We have a dedicated team to deal with LTC and will manage all aspects of documentation submission and payment reimbursement to save you time and trouble. There is no additional charge for this service.
